What are your favorite winter in Tacoma rituals?
Mary loves spending time outdoors with her husband, their 2-year-old son, and their Labrador. Her favorite annual tradition is cutting down a Christmas tree in Greenwater near Crystal Mountain. She also enjoys walking the trails at Point Defiance with her family and popping into Compass Roseâconveniently just around the corner from Origin Medicineâfor cute, thoughtful gifts.
More local traditions include Zoolights, Fantasy Lights (Spanaway), The Tacoma Light Trail, Polar Plaza Ice Rink; visiting local small businesses and makers at the Tacoma Night Market and the Tacoma Sunday Market; Monkeyshines hunting will begin in February, along with the Lincoln District Lunar New Year. It's always comforting for a quiet friend-date at a cozy cafe like Third Space or Jin Jin Matcha downtown.
